The Best Family Getaway Vacation Yet!!

This place has everything you need, just bring your clothes and food. My family of 6 stayed here and it was the most beautiful home over looking the lake. We went fishing, made s’mores at the camp fire. Played ping pong, foosball. And Several board games. We didn’t have to leave the House it was all right there on sight. Coffee on the balcony listening to the birds and watching the sunrise was beautiful. This house is a must see to believe how beautiful it is. I didn’t want to leave! I could go on and on!! The home was so clean and we will be back. I recommend this place to everyone! It has things to do for kids all ages. And if you have a big family there are plenty of places to sleep. We loved this place and plan on returning soon! The owner was very nice and informative. If you see this review stop now and book this one. I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!!

My (grown) kids and I stayed for a week at this wonderful house on the lake. They are 23, 20 (and his fiancee), and 13. The house was perfectly clean and stocked, spacious, and was in a wonderful location. We walked down to the lake, sat on the porch and drank tea (wonderfully shaded in the morning and evening), became ping pong pros in the basement when it was too hot outside, and watched TV and movies when we weren’t in our boat on the lake. We got a slip 5 minutes away so we went from the house to the water in only 10 minutes.
We made so many great memories and really appreciate the opportunity to get the kids away for quality time together before my 20 year old ships off to the Air Force soon. It was so spacious and peaceful – I will go back.
One of the best parts of the stay – one of the AC units went on the fritz one morning (100+ degree days). We didn’t even notice yet, but owners Larry and Joan were notified by the Wi-Fi thermostats. Techs came out and fixed it within a few hours and our day never missed a beat. The courtesy and amazing responsiveness was incredible. They are wondeful hosts!

The property has incredible views of Lake Gibson and you can hike down to the lake. The deck is THE place to have morning coffee, but is also perfect for outdoor dining. Truly, the owners have thought of your comfort and pleasure. The cabin comes equipped with everythibg needed to cook, it is comfortable. Nice entertainment … the game room downstairs was a hit. Beds are comfy. Truly 5+ stars and I would stay here again.

The house is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed in! It was very well stocked and clean. There were helpful labels on most cabinets and drawers. My kids loved playing Jenga on the patio and my little one especially appreciated the toy box to keep her entertained. The trek down to the water was pretty steep, so I wouldn’t suggest it if you have bad knees or trouble getting around. We had a couple older folks with us, so we drove to the state park nearby to swim and fish. The patio had a beautiful view of the lake and was great for watching squirrels and birds. I would definitely recommend this place!

What a terrific place! Staying almost exclusively in home rentals, I’ve come to really appreciate hosts who go the extra mile to consider how their guests might be feeling after a full day of travel. Little touches like stocking the kitchen with coffee, providing full size toiletries, putting plenty of fluffy towels in each bathroom, and pre-setting the air conditioner so the home is already nicely-cooled on a hot day are very much appreciated.
At this price point, you would typically expect to have to compromise in some way or another, but not here. In fact, the space was better than expected. Each of the three rooms have king size beds that are very comfortable. Seriously — king size beds in each room — that’s unheard of. The entire cottage is newly remodeled to be very comfortable and functional. The location is private and yet driving to nearby towns is quick and convenient. While our kids are older, it was nice to see everything a family would need for young kids, including a full high chair and a full toy box.

My husband and I have stayed at our fair share of Airbnb’s and this is one of my favorites due to the comfort and how well it was stocked. This is a perfect stay for a family with small children (everything you could possibly need is provided) or a couples getaway. Fishing also looked great if you wanted to rent a boat. shore fishing didn’t give us much luck but you can see how well the lake is stocked by just watching for a few minutes. don’t forget to enjoy all the little racoons and other critters that will show up at night. Thank you again to Larry and his wife who we got the chance to meet and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed.

A lovely place to stay

The house was very clean and had that country home feel to it. The location was perfect and neighbors are friendly. Lady neighbor seen us outside and asked if we needed anything from town as she was going to Walmart and sonic. Sweet lady she was. Outdoor toy for the kid to climb around on. Beds were great and the furniture was comfy. Master king bed downstairs with two bedrooms upstairs. Upstairs game room was nice and relaxing with the kiddo. The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast and all the pots and pans we needed for evening meals. Charcoal grill was nice for grilling burgers. A tip for future guests would be to pack shampoo and enjoy there stay!

Check in was a breeze. Communication with the host was great.
House was perfect for a family of 5. Family also visited so the upstairs game room and games were perfect for techy teens. We loved the country setting and serene surroundings.
This property is on the east side of Broken Arrow – approximately 25 min away from downtown. Stores/restaurants were maybe 10 min away with Uber Eats availability.

We love using a vacation rental rather than a hotel whenever we can and this may be the nicest place yet! It was my parents first time staying in a vacation rental and they are hooked! This home is clean, recently renovated, attractively decorated, and thoughtfully equipped. The beds and other furniture were very comfortable. The setting is serene and pretty. We really enjoyed the back patio and the front porch swing. The hosts were super responsive to questions and were very friendly. We traveled to Broken Arrow to visit family and we will absolutely try to get this house again next time!

Relaxing retreat

Our family stayed here for several nights before moving into our rental and it was a breath of fresh air. It felt like we were in the country, yet right in Broken arrow and close to everything we needed. The open living area was perfect for our family and our girls enjoyed the play structure outside. Our hosts were amazing and very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, great property in a relaxing setting. Thank you for a great stay!!

I really don’t know where to begin! Thank you for letting us stay is such a beautiful home away from home. Every room was decorated beautifully and fit our family in every way. The little touches such as having a fan in every room didn’t go un-noticed. The outside was just as beautiful. We grilled on sat. so we were outside quite a bit and it was perfect. All the trees, the swing-set and even the grill was very much appreciated. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful house with us and we most definitely will be back! Best vacation property ever!

We rented this property for my sister’s and I to return to our hometown and host a party for the extended family we were visiting. The property was perfect (the pictures truly do not do it justice). We had a huge open area with a buffet sized island and a breakfast bar for all the food, a good sized table for passing around pictures and playing cards and an extremely comfortable sofa and love seat perfect for watching the game. The kitchen had all the servicing dishes, utensils and appliances we could ask for. The bedroom with the king size bed had a huge closet (big enough for a pack and play), there was a good sized tv in every bedroom, plus a huge one in the living area. The “kids” room had plenty of toys and children’s DVD’s. Most importantly, the beds were all super comfortable. It truly felt like a lovely decorated and very welcoming home. The owners even brought down extra outdoor seating when they found out we were having people over. They were extremely easy to work with and I liked the fact that, with the set up they have, we could roll in at any time and not inconvenience either the owners or ourselves. The next time we head back their way, we will definitely be staying here again!
